Microsoft Set To Launch "ZUNE" MP3 Player To Compete With Apple's IPod

Microsoft recently announced it will be releasing its own MP3 Player... the "Microsoft ZUNE" to compete head-to-head with the very popular Apple IPod. Great news for all MP3 Fans! Microsoft spokesperson, Chris Stephenson said, "The initial device will have Wi-Fi and use a hard drive to store music, as well, the player will use wireless connectivity to share music with other Zune devices." Meaning, you'll be able to download music directly to ZUNE through a wireless connection. Which will ive it a huge advantage over the IPod. ZUNE is scheduled to hit store shelves before the Xmas season.

HOW TO: Tie A Cherry Stem In A Knot With Your Tongue

What you will need: A cherry stem. The longer the stem... the better!

Step 1: Chew on the stem a bit to soften it up, but do not break it.
Step 2: Using your tongue, fold the stem in half in your mouth. (Use your tongue for all of the following steps unless instructed otherwise)
Step 3: Cross the ends of the stem, one over the other.
Step 4: Clamp the end on the bottom between your front teeth.
Step 5: Poke the other end through the rabbit hole (keep visualizing how you tie a knot with your hands).
Step 6: Keeping the one end still clamped between your teeth, press the other end to the roof of your mouth. Slide the end wedged against the roof of your mouth toward your throat in order to ‘tighten’ the knot.

What a crazy night! Lightning knocked out power to the club tonight from 8:50pm 'til about 11:15pm. We opened the doors at 11:30pm and a ton of customers poured in for a little Blackout Party!

How Beer Is Made

MASHING: The first phase of brewing, in which the malted grains are crushed and soaked in warm water in order to create a malt extract. The mash is held at constant temperature long enough for enzymes to convert starches into fermentable sugars.

SPARGING: Water is filtered through the mash to dissolve the sugars. The darker, sugar-heavy liquid is called the wort.
Boiling: The wort is boiled along with any remaining ingredients (excluding yeast), to remove excess water and kill any microorganisms. The hops (whole, pelleted, or extract) are added at some stage during the boil.

FERMENTATION: The yeast is added (or "pitched") and the beer is left to ferment. After primary fermentation, the beer may be allowed a second fermentation, which allows further settling of yeast and other particulate matter ("trub") which may have been introduced earlier in the process. Some brewers may skip the secondary fermentation and simply filter off the yeast.

PACKAGING: At this point, the beer contains alcohol, but not much carbon dioxide. The brewer has a few options to increase carbon dioxide levels. The most common approach by large-scale brewers is force carbonation, via the direct addition of CO2 gas to the keg or bottle. Smaller-scale or more classically-minded brewers will add extra ("priming") sugar or a small amount of newly fermenting wort to the final vessel, resulting in a short refermentation known as "cask-" or "bottle conditioning".

After brewing, the beer is usually a finished product. At this point the beer is kegged, casked, bottled, or canned.

We had our Sweetwaters/Rockin Rodeo Summer Bar Staff Party yesterday! Pretty wild time! Funny... these parties always seem to turn into an episode of "SWEETWATERS/ROCKIN RODEO GIRLS GONE WILD". Hey! I'm definitely not complaining! :)

For me... the day started with Darren and I having a couple of FD (Fuzzy Duck) on my deck.. Then we walked over to Greg's (just a few blocks from my place) to join the rest of the Sweets/Rodeo Staff for a patio party at Greg's house... then a Limo (courtesy of Kelly's Classic Limousines) shuttled us down to the Carelton II for a cruise down the St. John River.
